A
beta hCG of about 10 together with a faint positive urine test does point toward an early pregnancy, since hCG only shows up once implantation has happened. At this very early stage, a single number cannot tell you much on its own. What matters is how it changes over the next couple of days.
Next Steps
Repeat the
beta hCG test in 48 hours. A level that is roughly doubling is the usual pattern of an early, continuing pregnancy, while one that rises very slowly or falls needs your gynaecologist to look into further.
Health Tips
Please see your gynaecologist for a dating scan once the timing is right, and sooner if you get heavy bleeding or strong one-sided pain.
