Belly button swelled up

Hi My one and half month baby has his belly button swelled up. It protrudes more when he cries. Is it normal or anything can be done to reduce that. Thanks

It's normal. Umbilical hernias are common in newborns and infants younger than six month. Usually it will close its own with in 4 to 6 months of age..
