Dear Doctor, My child is now 17 years old , underwent appendix surgery 8  years back......now he is very normal Please advise any tests blood urine or any other tests , like eye test  ( annual health checkup) to be forewarned??

No Laboratory tests are required as a routine after the appendicectomy operation. If  he goes for annual health check up and the doctor detects some abnormality he can ask for any specific tests.

If the child is doing perfectly well..no need for any test..but eye test should be done anually..and cbc that would be enough
