Baby making sounds like straining

My 5 month baby is on top feed completely from last 1 month..i am observing from last 4-5 days that he is making sounds like he is straining and exerting mostly when he is a bit cranky...Otherwise he is passing urine and stools normally and is active..is there a problem with him making these kind of sounds?
