Baby is passing hard poop

My daughter is 8 months old and she is passing hard stools... I give her water n semi solid food like mashed fruits n khichdi,  but still she puts a lot of pressure n finds difficult to pass stool... Is there any medicine for this?  Should I include or exclude any specific food?

it is quite common in children at this age...u need to give more liquids, vegetable n fruits, avoid maida , processed food, refined sugar..stool softeners are commonly prescribed to treat the condition
