6months old baby with 2.2mm asd ...can it close naturally?will it cause any effect on baby? If it's nt closed naturally wat should we do

2.2 mm is too small. Need not worry about it.

Hello, Its a small ASD. Most of them close on their own within 2 years of age. If the child is playful and feeding well and comfortable, then nothing to worry. Just keep doing echo every 3 months. Take care. Stay safe.

2.2 mm is a very small ASD. There is a very high chance that it will seal off on its own. If it doesn’t close on its own, then we may have to close it with an intervention. But usually the ASDs may close upto eight years of age.
Next Steps
Treat him like a normal baby. Mostly the ASD will close. Follow up with an echo after one year.
