My mom has arthritis for like 15 yrs now.. she totally cannot walk at all. Pls tell me solution. Is surgery the only solution

Please enlighten  us on if she has been tested for and diagnosed with specific  type of arthritis  (10-15 common tyoes)or has age related arthritis changes . What is her age ? Does she have Joint deformity How much is the swelling Which joints r involved ?

please seek opinion of an orthopaedic  surgeon near your place .let the doctor reach specific diagnosis on type of arthritis  and stage of arthritis. type and stage will determine further treatment

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However  I would like to examine & investigate your mother  in detail. Rule out Hypertension, Diabetes or any other metabolic disorder. Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. (You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Keep  no pillow under the head. --. Its not necessary for surgery options.. it depends on medications or physiotherapy if it will not work out then surgery will be option . You can consult orthopaedic doctor For further queries Dr sunny chopra

Please show me the xray of involved area and any tests done on her. It would even be more beneficial to examine her clinically to tailor best management for her

The treatment for arthritis of the knee depends on X-ray findings and the symptoms of the patient If she is completely unable to walk, it is highly likely that surgery will be required
