Nasal polyps can cause anosmia but it needs to be confirmed by clinical examination CT scan or diagnostic nasal endoscopy. Treatment depends on extent of the polyposis. Many times initial treatment with steroids and steroid nasal sprays are helpful. If polyposis reccur or persistent then you may need to undergo surgery
