1st remedy is to avoid scrubbing, scratching and any cause of friction there. Then start the management by keratolytic preparations like salicylic acid ointment

Greetings.  DARKENING, THICKENING AND ROUGH SKIN OF ANKLE/S is commonly a result of friction with the dependant surface of the foot with the floor in those who may habitually sit on the floor with the legs crossed.  This can be treated with keratolytics and by avoiding sitting in that manner which actually is the trigger for the issue.  Please see a qualified dermatologist near you in person or over online consultation for a detailed prescription. Hope this helps. Dr Govind S Mittal, Therapeia Skin Hair and ENT Centre, Bengaluru.
