Allergic Rhinitis

2024-12-26 08:54:25
I was diagnosed with allergic rhinitis in October 2021 and I took medication as prescribed for 2 months as I was asked to take prescribed medicine for 2 months. After that too allergy didn't go away. So another doctor told me to take cetirizine or montas L whenever allergy comes. I have been taking those medicines only but taking cetirizine for long time is not good for health, I've heard from many chemists and all. So I wanted to know whether there are other antihistamines for allergic rhinitis? Also I take precautions like I stay away from getting exposed to cold temperatures and all.

There are many antihistamines but taking them blindly is not recommended. First of all find out the allergens to treat you adequately. Ant medication taken for long time may show side effects. Taking precautions and avoiding cold is good but need to find specific allergens and avoiding them and treatment with medication.
