I have been taking seretide accuhaler (maintenance inhaler) everyday for the past 2 years. Recently I figured out that I am allergic to dust mites and by avoiding them I don't get asthma symptoms much. I also don't want to take inhaler because of possible side effects. Can you prescribe me what should I take if I get flare-ups? I am currently taking montekulast and AB phylline on alternate days. How long can I take it? Are inhalers really required?
Needs proper evaluation of symptoms. Level of control of symptoms to reach a decision on inhalers. As per recommendation inhalers are the best available medicine options for asthmatics. Abphylline is not recommended for long term. In facts abphylline has more side effects than inhalers.
