My kid has been suffering from acute ear pain since last night and wasn't able to sleep and is crying a lot. He had cold and cough from last few days including running nose.

As per your description your child might have developed acute otitis media.. don't delay in treatment.. consult with an ENT specialist for proper assessment and treatment..
