Acute back pain

My father have an acute back pain. He can only sleep on back if he move a little bit it hurts. He had constipation for two weeks but he has taken some medicine given by a doctor. The doctor tells that there only a gas problem but the pain is increasing day by day. Please help.

If there is pain on movement, it is usually related to spine or paraspinal muscle spasm. It may be unrelated to gastric issues.

Generally  this type of severe back pain caused by spine related problem ... if it is not associated with now with vomiting , fever , abdominal distention....better to consult spine doctor ....
