Acl surgery using titanium endobutton.

In my ACL RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY hamstring (Autograft) is used. Femoral side is fixed using endobutton. Is there any side effects of metal present in endobutton. Can endobuttons be removed later.

Consult Now
No side effects. Can be removed if patient is adamant on removal after ligamentisation is complete. Although, have not seen a single patient insisting removal till date. Seen such a querry for first time. RCI can be removed if causes problem, not endobuttons. Do not read too much literature.
