Is it common to have stiffness and tightness in your knee joint after ACL surgery? How and when it will go? What steps required for it to go like heat therapy or anything else? Please advice.

Yes its common post surgery stiffness as knee joint movment is  restricted and to be strated gradually on from day 1 or due to pain you have not done knee movement or physiotherpy properly as adviced. Only and only good dedicated  physiotherpy  AND your motivation to get your knee functional will help you. ( CAUTION - IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU NEED TO FORCE YOUR KNEE  CAUSE IT WILL LEAD TO SOME OTHER PROBLEM)  so it should be gradual excersies with physiotherpy guidance  for 3-4  weeks. If still it does not work for you then you need to get evaluted clinically and might need knee xray and mri of the knee joint  to check any other problem is there . Hope it has answered your questions.
