Can a normal trans abdominal ultrasound help to detect pregnancy? if nothing is seen does it surely mean no pregnancy?

Transabdominal ultrasound cannot reliably diagnose pregnancies that are < 6 weeks' gestation. Can go for serum beta hcg for pregnancy confirmation
