About reduce power and Cylindrical power

Hello Sir/Madam, In my recent eye check-up i found that my power has been decrease from -4.00 to -3.5 in both the eye and there is cylindrical power of -1 in both eye. So is it a good sign or bad that my power has been decreased without any treatment or opretion ? And do my Cylindrical will get reduced over-a-time if i start wearing eyeglasses that have prescribed CYL power ?

Pl wear glasses continuously, regularly. Normally, the power will increase, till the growth of eye ball is there.pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.

A decrease in your spectacle from -4.0 to -3.50 might be a variation from one optician to another. Very unlikely that the number has decreased. At your age there is every possibility that the number will increase. Yes, if you wear glasses constantly, to some extent the increase in myopia will be restricted.
