Hello doctors my baby is 32 weeks prematured. Now 1 and half month completed means she is now 39 weeks completed. She got vaccination. Fewer came after vaccination. Doctor suggested to give medomol 0.5ml. Can I give next dose after 6 hours?

Yes medomol (paracetamol) can be given every 6 hours for 2 days if there is fever. Dose is as per weight

Always check the temperature before giving paracetamol. Paracetamol dose depends on the weight. 15mg per kg 6th hourly if temperature more than 100 F for 2-3 days for fever due to vaccination. If the baby is underweight or if the temperature is too high or any other unusual symptoms the baby may require check up.

Yes, if fever persists you can usually give the next dose after 6 hours, provided the dose advised by your pediatrician is according to baby’s weight. Mild fever after vaccination is common, even in premature babies. Keep baby well fed and monitor: • Poor feeding • Breathing difficulty • Excessive sleepiness • Persistent high fever If any of these occur, contact your pediatrician immediately.
