Duphaston is given for you to get periods and not to ovulate. it is a  safe drug and can be  used  even if you are pregnant ,hence it's given to people who are eager to conceive..By chance if you are pregnant it helps to maintain the pregnancy.

Hi. Duphaston is given so that you mensurate regularly . If periods are delayed the lining of uterus gets thick and then the periods that will follow will be heavy and prolonged. Anovulatory periods happen in PCOs and other hormonal problems .
