30 mg ESCITALOPRAM

Is it's safe to take 30 mg ESCITALOPRAM my doctor had increase the dose to 30 mg... Is this does is normal.. Looking for 2nd consultation with psychiatry.

Usually Escitalopram is effective within 20 mg, however in certain cases it can be increased to 40 mg and above as per psychiatrist discretion and Psychiatric illness. In cases of ocd it is a common practice. Overall it is quite safe.
