3 month baby sleeping on stomach

2021-05-14 09:57:28
My 3 month old baby started practising rolling to the side on her stomach from 2 days. She's preferring to sleep in the same position i.e. laying on stomach (prone position). Is it safe to let her sleep that way?

As your child is 3 month now chances is SIDS are very less as your child can lift head in prone position so nothing to worry about. Only precautions you should take is either make your sleep on ground or if sleeping bed then put pillows besides to prevent from bed.

I would suggest you to try the baby sleeping on back as it has been only 2 days as habit has not been created. Babies start rolling over as early as 4 months old. After feeds give baby some time on your shoulder for burping and then try lying the baby on back. If baby goes prone and sleep then don't disturb.
Next Steps
be watchful
