Hi My baby having thyroid problem she is only 16 days old the doctor has told us for 50 mg tablet. Is it ok for 16 days baby.

Hi ...the dose of thyroid tablet depends on the weight of the baby and also on the level of TSH ...but generally higher doses are needed in new borns as it is needed for brain growth ...dose can be adjusted by checking the TSH after a month
