1 day period, with clots.

Hi, I am trying to conceive. This time my period was 5 days late and pregnancy test was negative, then I had 1 day period with clots and cramps. I have cycle of 3 days and never had 1 day period, is is normal? I have been experiencing cramps from past 10-15 days.
