Dr. Samarth Rao

I am born in a family of dedicated Ayurvedic Practitioners in Bengaluru, India. I grew up learning Ayurveda first at home and later trained as a Ayurvedic Physician. Since I was 8 years old, I have been identifying herbs, processing herbal preparation, exposed to pulse reading and providing therapies to patients visiting our Ayurvedic Practices. It was a family occupation and part of growing up, which motivated me to take up a formal qualification in Ayurveda. I completed my 5 and a 1/2 years Bachelor degree in Ayurveda and Surgery from Bengaluru, India in 2005. I was 22 years when I completed and wanted to travel the world.I came to Australia in 2006 where I enrolled in a Graduate Certificate in Health Policy and Management and completed a Masters degree in Health Administration in 2008. I now have also completed a Masters in Public Health specialising in Health Promotion. I am also trained in Vedic Astrology and hold particular interest in identifying health issues through Vedic Astrology. I strongly practice the art and science of classical Ayurveda.
