Retired as Professor & Head of Department of Pediatric Surgery from PGI, Chandigarh Dr. K L N Rao is associated with Cloudnine Group of Hospitals. And he has completed his degree from University in MBBS, M.S. (Surgery) & M.Ch. (Pediatric Surgery) from PGI. Fellow, American College of Surgeons, Fellow, National Academy of Medical Sciences. Published more than 460 research papers. Trained more than 130 pediatric surgeons. Developed many new operative procedures in children. Established Pediatric Surgery Department at Advanced Pediatrics Center at PGI. Extensive operative experience in childhood surgical & Urological problems. Special expertise in Genito urinary problems, Anorectal malformations, Kidney obstructions (Hydronephrosis), Posterior Urethral Valves, Vesicourethral Reflux, Urinary Tract Infections due to obstructive disorders, Undescended Testis, Hernias in children, Hydrocephalus, Meningomyelocele, Esophageal atresia and other Neonatal Surgical conditions, Gastrointestinal conditions like Constipation / Hirschsprung’s disease, Tumors in children, Neck Swellings, Hemangiomas, Lymphatic swellings, Hypospadias, Antenatal Counselling of mothers for baby anomalies. Received many awards, gold medals and Orations in a long academic career.
