Dr. R Suriya Kumar

Dr. R Suriya Kumar completed his graduation in Siddha Medicine from the well known and renowned institution of south India – Government Siddha Medical College and Hospital in 2009-10, completed the post graduation studies- MPH from SRM University, Kaatankulathur in 2012-13. During the postgraduate studies, he has done research on – Hospital waste management. He is a Trustee of National Educational And Charitable Trust, a non-governmental organization works in the area of Aged and elderly, Education & Literacy, Environment and natural resource management, Health & Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, Housing and shelter, Labour & Employment, Minority Issues, Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation, Sports, Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, Vocational Training, Water and Sanitation, Women's Development & Empowerment, etc. The organization works towards the promotion of sustainable development. He has Worked as a Consultant in Acme Consulting, Chennai which works in the area of quality improvement for hospitals. Assisted nearly 15 pioneer hospitals for NABH accreditation and two laboratories for NABL accreditation. His specialty area of interest is cervical and lumbar spondylitis, allergic diseases- skin and respiratory, metabolic diseases, musculoskeletal pain syndromes, and all challenging cases which are refractory to the modern medical treatment. He is also working as a state consultant in National Tobacco Control Programme for Puducherry region.
