Did his fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from Gem Hospital,Coimbatore,India and Fellowship in Bariatric and Metabolic surgery from LASER institute, Indore. Today he is known as leading Bariatric surgeon.His particular area of expertise include Advanced Laparoscopic,Bariatric surgery for severe obesity, Metabolic surgery for Diabetes, General and GI surgery. He has done his Masters in Surgery from Mumbai University and holds professional memberships in various national and international surgical societiesHe has been instrumental in starting the very first Bariatric surgery department in KMF Hospital at Thane and has credit of performing the very first bariatric surgery for severe obesity in Thane city and districtHe has performed more than 2000 minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgeries successfully till now.
