Prior to that, she honed her skills with a long term fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment at the distinguished L.V.Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. She has trained in advanced cataract surgery techniques at the Sankara Nethralaya Hospital, Chennai.
