It all started with the appearance of elevated liver enzymes (SGOT/SGPT 60.62/72.19 respectively) in the blood report of regular blood checkup done annually. General physician advised ultra sound that showed fatty liver. For treatment consulted a hepatologist and got fibroscan done on his advise on 28th Sept, 2023 that showed grade three fatty liver (CAP[dB/m] 345). Luckily E(kPa) was 7 means upper margin of no fibroscan-Normal and lower margin of Mild fibroscan condition. Doctor advised me medicine for three months and emphasised more on change in life style, well controlled diet and regular exercise. I tried to enquire "what to eat and what not to eat", the Doctor suggested its better to have the services of any good dietitian. Somebody recommended Ms Dietitian Ritu Singh for this but, honestly speaking, I was a bit reluctant since I live in Aligarh and the dietitian was in Agra. Office staff of the Doctor told me that she used to do it online and her reputation is good. I agreed and contacted her. Today I realize that I am lucky as she is proved to be a very good dietitian for me, qualified, knowledgeable with a good temprament and problem solving skills. She enquired about my daily routine as well as likes and dislikes, went through all my test reports carefully, identified my nutritional requirements and providing custom made diet plans on daily basis. She guided me all through this duration "what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat as well as at times how to prepare to eat. Explained me well why her suggestions are the best options and why are they needed to be followed. After three months I had another fibroscan done on 26th Dec, 2023. " Allah ke fazal se" the report showed CAP[dB/m] 178 and E(kPa) 6.1, both the parameters well within the normal limits.
In the end I am thankful to my Doctor (Liver, Gastro and Pancreas specialist) Dr. Abhinav Verma, of Aligarh as well as Dietitian (Clinical Disorders & Diabetes Nutrition specialist) Dt Ritu Singh of Agra who helped and guided me to achieve the reversal of grade three fatty liver condition I suffered and of course losing 10 kg of my body weight during this process.
I consulted Dt Ritu Singh for weight gain and gut health issues which I was dealing since many years. Not only I gained almost 6 kg weight but also my gut related isues got resolved completely. My energy levels increased manifold.
