Pannu Eye & Gynae Hospital was founded on the 1st of April 1999 in the idyllic town of Ropar by Dr. Kamaljit Singh Pannu an Eye Surgeon and his wife Dr. Ravinder Kaur Pannu a Gynaecologist. Having completed their degrees from CMC Ludhiana, one of the best Medical College in India, this couple still decided to settle down in a small town with the vision of rendering quality healthcare to the needy at affordable costs. The Hospital soon progressed with leaps and bounds, catering to the ever-growing need of the patients and in the year 2006, the hospital had its own swanky new building on the College Road. During this 16 year journey, the hospital has had many firsts to its credit. Phacoemulsification, the state of the art Cataract Surgery was first introduced in our hospital in the year 2001. We were the first to implant foldable lenses, toric lenses, aspheric lenses and multifocal lenses. Lasik Laser refractive surgery was introduced for the first time in our region in our hospital on November 2011. Now our hospital is a super speciality Eye Hospital with super specialists in Glaucoma, Retina, Squint Pediatric Ophthalmology and Cornea visiting regularly. The hard work put in by Dr. Kamaljit Singh Pannu and Dr. Ravinder Kaur pannu has bore fruit and led to a very successful practice by the grace of god. Our hospital not only caters to the district of Ropar, but also to adjoining districts of Punjab like Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, SAS Nagar and Hoshiarpur and Solan and Bilaspur districts of Himachal Pardesh. NRI’s from all over the world also do step in to get their lasik lasers and phaco cataract surgeries. Keeping in view of reaching the unreached our hospital has also opened a branch in Baddi town of Himachal Pardesh and one in Shri Chamkaur Sahib in Punjab.But our feet are still firmly on the ground and our vision, still intact i.e to serve one and all, rich and poor with same quality and ethical health care at affordable costs
