After extensive research, we chose BLK Max Hospital for gynaecology and obstetrics care, and our overall experience was truly commendable.

A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lakshmi Mantri and Dr. Uma Rani Swain, who are exceptional in their field. Their expertise, calm approach, and transparency in communication immediately instill confidence. The processes they follow reflect deep experience and commitment to patient well-being.

Their supporting team deserves equal appreciation — Dr. Riya, Dr. Monica, Dr. Priyanshi, Dr. Nidhi, and Dr. Manisha — all of whom showed immense understanding, care, and professionalism throughout. The team tried every possible method to ensure a normal delivery, and only after exhausting all safe options did they proceed with a C-section. Their patience and compassion made a big difference.

The supporting staff was equally efficient and kind. The nurses, security staff, feeding assistants, and porter services played a crucial role in making the stay comfortable. Special thanks to:

The billing was professionally and smoothly taken care by Mr. Jhanvi, Mr. Amandeep and Ms. Deepanshi.

The food service was excellent as well — meals were nutritious, timely, and tailored to the patient’s needs. Special mention to Ms. Priyanka and Mr. Kaushal (Supervisor) for their dedicated service to Room No. 401B.

On the technical and medical side, everything was smooth and well-managed. However, the administrative process for bed allocation could be more transparent. It was noticeable that patients under CGHS/DGHS or other panels were not given the same priority as private ones. For example, OPD billing for panel patients starts late, and initially, only one counter is opened until complaints arise. Similarly, for in-patient admissions, private wards are often shown as “booked,” even when available, which can be disappointing for those eligible.

Please note: For CGHS/DGHS/Panel regular consultations where the doctors are only team doctors/ junior doctors and not Dr. Umarani or Dr. Laxmi madam.

Their roaster changes everytime and hardly you meet the same doctor every time you visit. However, for the final procedure the Dr. Umarani or Dr. Laxmi Madam will be heading.

While this seems to be a management-level issue, the hospital’s cleanliness, maintenance, and security remain top-notch — the premises are spotless, and staff are courteous and efficient.

Overall, despite minor administrative shortcomings, our medical experience at BLK Max Hospital was outstanding, thanks to the dedication of the doctors, nurses, and support staff. We are deeply grateful to the entire team for their professionalism and care.
