Akshaya Hospital was founded in 1997 by Dr. Sashikala V Prabhu. Prior to the inception of the hospital, she had acquired an experience of over 2 decades working in the obstetrics & gynecology department of various government and private institutions, in roles ranging from senior resident to head of department. Akshaya began as a simple and exclusive maternity hospital providing comfort and care to pregnant women. Within a short span of time Akshaya became one of the best hospitals for women. Paediatrics as a separate department was added on later, making it a hospital for women & child care. in 2016, two more specialties were added giving the hospital a major advancement. Dr. Akshay V Prabhu set up the department of laparoscopy and dr Natasha V Prabhu pioneered the department of fertility treatments. with an illustrious legacy spanning an awe-inspiring 26 years, Akshaya Hospital stands resolute, a testament to its unwavering commitment to serving women in all stages of life and children, regardless of social strata.
