The cost of cesarean delivery (C Section) ranges from USD 6,999 to 15,359. In India, the cost of a C Section varies with the hospital. Usually, the charges for the procedure, anaesthesia and hospital stay range from Rs. 5,000/- to upwards of Rs.40,000/-.

The two basic birth methods are vaginal delivery and cesarean section. The other types of childbirth are variations of these two methods. The variations include assisted vaginal delivery, induced labour, episiotomy, amniotomy, forceps extraction and vacuum extraction.
