Description
Rolimus 10 MG Tablet is an immunosuppressant medicine that contains Everolimus. It is used to prevent your immune system from rejecting an organ that has been transplanted via surgery (eg. kidney and liver transplants). It may also be used in combination with other medicines to treat certain types of cancers of the breasts, kidneys, pancreas, intestines, lungs, brain, etc. Rolimus 10 MG Tablet can cause side effects like infections, sinusitis, cough, fever, fatigue, swelling of the mouth, infection of the throat, infection of the ear, and diarrhoea. Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms persist for a long time. Seek medical help if you notice any increase in thirst and frequency of urination or if you have difficulty in breathing. Avoid taking Rolimus 10 MG Tablet if you have a cough or fever, or need to receive any vaccination as it decreases the immune system's ability of your body to fight infection. Rolimus 10 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before using this medicine. Rolimus 10 MG Tablet is not recommended if you have severe liver problems. Inform your doctor if you are using any other medicines for underlying health conditions. Rolimus 10 MG Tablet can cause fatigue so it is advisable to not do any activity that requires your concentration like driving vehicles or operating machines. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while using Rolimus 10 MG Tablet as a chemical in the juice can interfere with the action and reduce its therapeutic benefits.

Blood sugar levels

Cholesterol levels

Rolimus 10 MG Tablet may increase cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Monitoring of fasting lipid profile is recommended before starting therapy with this medicine and periodically thereafter.

Wound healing and fluid accumulation

Rolimus 10 MG Tablet may delay wound healing and increase the risk of wound-related complications which may require surgical intervention. It also may cause fluid accumulation, including swelling of feet, other types of localized fluid collections which may lead to further complications.

Infections

The immunosuppressant effect of Rolimus 10 MG Tablet may decrease the resistance to infectious agents and may increase the risk of infections. You are advised to report any unusual symptoms such as a sore throat, pain or burning during urination, fever, chills, etc., to the doctor immediately. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine or prescribe a suitable alternative based on your clinical condition.

Non-infectious pneumonitis

Rolimus 10 MG Tablet may cause non-infectious pneumonitis. Appropriate dose adjustments should be made based on the severity of the symptoms. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine or prescribe a suitable alternative based on your clinical condition.

Proteinuria

Rolimus 10 MG Tablet may increase the presence of abnormal quantities of protein in the urine (proteinuria) when it is used along with cyclosporine in people who have undergone transplant surgeries. Infertility
