Description
Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet is a combination of Cefpodoxime and Ofloxacin. It is an antibiotic used for the treatment of typhoid fever and respiratory tract infections (infections that affect various organs involved in breathing). Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet works by killing the bacteria, thereby preventing the further spread of infection. Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet shows side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines as this medicine may cause dizziness. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet can be taken with or without food. For the ease of remembering, take it at the same time every day. Ensure that your complete the course of treatment for better results and to prevent re-infection. Avoid taking Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet without consulting your doctor. Unnecessary use of this medicine may cause the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics. Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet should be avoided if you have tendinitis (a condition that causes swelling of the tissues that attach bones with muscles) or myasthenia gravis (a condition that causes severe weakness and fatigue of the muscles under voluntary control). Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems. Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet may cause tremors (involuntary muscle contraction leading to shaking movement), restlessness, anxiety, confusion, seizures (sudden, uncontrolled brain activity causing fits), etc. Hence, Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have seizures or other central nervous system abnormalities (conditions related to the brain and spinal cord).

Colitis

Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and cause diarrhoea. Oxipod-O (200/200 mg) Tablet is a combination of Cefpodoxime and Ofloxacin. Cefpodoxime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall (protective outer covering of the bacteria).
