Description
Losatec H (12.5/50 mg) Tablet is a combination medicine consisting of Hydrochlorothiazide and Losartan. It is used for the treatment of high blood pressure. Losatec H (12.5/50 mg) Tablet decreases blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels, promoting smooth blood flow and increasing water excretion from your body. Therefore, this medicine also reduces the risk of heart attack (a blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle) and stroke (damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply). Losatec H (12.5/50 mg) Tablet shows some side effects like nausea, headache, dry mouth, and an upset stomach. You may experience frequent urination while taking this medicine as a result of its activity, and this is not a side effect of the medicine. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine to overcome muscle weakness, dry mouth, and extreme thirst. Losatec H (12.5/50 mg) Tablet may cause dizziness, therefore avoid driving vehicles or operating machines. Rise slowly from sitting or lying position if you feel dizzy while on Losatec H (12.5/50 mg) Tablet treatment. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, seek a doctor's consultation at the earliest. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Losatec H (12.5/50 mg) Tablet can be taken in the morning to avoid frequent urination at night. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise, thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke. Losatec H (12.5/50 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have a kidney problem, liver condition, or diabetes. Frequent monitoring of your heart, liver, kidney functions and electrolytes levels may be required to use this medicine safely. Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medicines before starting the treatment.
