Zole 2% Dusting Powder is an antifungal topical preparation used in the treatment of infections caused by fungi in the mouth, various fungal infections of the skin like athlete's foot (a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes), jock itch (a fungal infection that causes a red and itchy rash in warm and moist areas of the body), ringworm infections (a highly contagious fungal infection of the skin or scalp), and vaginal yeast infections (a yeast infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina). It kills and stops the growth of fungi by damaging their cell wall, thereby killing them. Zole 2% Dusting Powder may cause some side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. It may also cause dryness or blistering of your skin. Seek your doctor's consultation if these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen. Avoid using Zole 2% Dusting Powder if you are allergic to it. Zole 2% Dusting Powder should be applied around the affected area as directed by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Keep the affected area clean and dry because the presence of water can increase fungal growth. It is only for external use, so avoid direct contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Do not use more than recommended quantities as it may cause undesirable effects. Zole 2% Dusting Powder may interact with the activity of other topical medicines, so it is advised you should inform your doctor about the medications you are using including any creams, lotions or taking any steroidal medicine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using this medicine. Zole 2% Dusting Powder may take a few days or weeks to improve your condition. Inform your doctor if the infection has not cleared up even after four weeks of the treatment. This medicine should be used in children only if your doctor prescribed it.
