What is it prescribed for?

Allergic rhinitis

This medicine is used in the treatment of the condition called allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nose due to overreaction of the immune system due to external factors like allergens). The usual signs and symptoms for allergic rhinitis are stuffy or runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, redness or sneezing nose etc and sometimes swelling in the eyes.

Urticaria

This medicine is used in the treatment of the condition called urticaria (a type of rash triggered due to many factors like medicine, food, or any external factors that may result in red and itchy rashes, raised bumps on the skin, etc.

The likelihood of sedation is high if it is consumed along with alcohol or other medications that are known to cause sedation.

Bruised hives

This medicine should not be used for hives that are bruised or blistered.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 2 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Use in elderly

This medicine should be administered with caution in the elderly population due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.
