Description

Xone 2000 MG Injection is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, throat, ears, heart, skin, urinary tract, etc. This medicine kills or stops the growth of bacteria causing the infection. Xone 2000 MG Injection is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Your doctor may advise Xone 2000 MG Injection alone or in combination with other medications to treat bacterial infections. Xone 2000 MG Injection shows side effects that include diarrhoea, pain at the injection site, rashes and alteration of the results of the liver function test. Do not use this medicine if you are previously allergic to it. Contact your doctor if any side effects are seen for a longer period of time. It is one of the effective antibiotics given to infants, children and adults. Xone 2000 MG Injection should not be taken on your own. It is injected into your vein or muscle by your doctor in a hospital or clinic. Your doctor will determine the dose you need each day and how often the injections should be given. Xone 2000 MG Injection may interact with calcium-containing products. Hence, consult your doctor about the use of Xone 2000 MG Injection if you are receiving calcium products. Complete the course of treatment with Xone 2000 MG Injection, as stopping it abruptly can lead to antibiotic resistance. This can cause your symptoms to return.

Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat bacterial meningitis and prevents the further spread of infection.

Bacterial Septicemia

Bacterial septicemia is an infection that spreads when a large number of bacteria enters the blood. In this infection, the immune system that protects you from many conditions releases a lot of chemicals into your blood. These toxins are carried through the bloodstream to your entire body, leading to organ damage. Xone 2000 MG Injection is effective in Bacterial Septicemia as it prevents the further growth of bacteria.

Gonorrhoea

Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by Neisseria gonorrhoea bacteria that infects both men and women. It spreads during vaginal, oral or anal sex without a condom or other barrier method. Xone 2000 MG Injection is a safe and effective medication used to treat gonorrhoea.

Urinary Tract Infection

An infection in any part of your urinary system- the kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra is called urinary tract infection(s) (UTIs). UTIs are one of the most common infections, and women are at greater risk of getting this infection. UTI's can occur as complicated or uncomplicated urinary tract infections. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat both kinds of urinary tract infections caused by bacteria.

Community-Acquired Pneumonia

Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia (a lung infection) that is acquired outside the hospital. CAP can be caused either due to bacteria or virus. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat CAP caused by bacteria like Mycoplasma pneumonia, Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenzae, etc.

Bone and joint infections

Osteomyelitis is an infection of the bone and septic arthritis is an infection in a joint. These infections can occur due to a bone/joint injury or through blood by which bacteria, virus, or fungi invade a bone/joint. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used for the treatment of osteomyelitis and septic arthritis caused by bacteria.

Skin and soft tissue infections

Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat all skin infections including abscess (painful collection of pus) caused by bacteria.

Acute bacterial otitis media

Otitis media (AOM), is an infection of the middle ear (the area behind the eardrum), common in infants and young children. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat acute otitis media caused by bacteria.

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of the female reproductive organs caused by bacteria. In this infection, the bacteria first enter the vagina and move into the pelvic organs- fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, and the uterus, causing infection. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat pelvic inflammatory disease.

Intra-abdominal Infections

Intra-abdominal infection (IAI) describes a number of infections. It includes peritonitis (swelling of the peritoneum-lining of the abdominal wall), pancreatitis (swelling of the pancreas- an organ located behind the lower part of the stomach), diverticulitis (swelling of diverticula- one or more small pouches in the intestine), cholecystitis (swelling of the gallbladder-a small digestive organ that sits just under the liver), and cholangitis (swelling of the bile duct). Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat infections occurring within the abdomen (belly) caused by bacteria.

Bacteremia is the presence of bacteria in the blood. Bacteria can sometimes enter your bloodstream from dental or medical procedures or from infections. If this condition is left untreated, it can lead to septicemia. This is an infection of the blood caused by the bacteria and Xone 2000 MG Injection is used for the treatment of bacteremia.

Bronchitis

Bronchitis is the swelling and irritation of bronchial tubes that regulates air passage in the lungs. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat bronchitis caused by bacteria.

Bacterial endocarditis

Bacterial endocarditis is an infection in the inner lining of the heart caused by bacteria. It occurs when bacteria from another part of your body travel through the blood and attach to damaged areas of your heart. Xone 2000 MG Injection is used to treat bacterial endocarditis.

Lyme disease

Lyme disease is an infection caused by Borrelia burgdorferi. This infection is spread to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks that carry the bacteria. Diarrhoea

Xone 2000 MG Injection can cause diarrhoea because it may also kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. Inform your doctor if you experience severe diarrhoea while receiving this medicine.

Haemolytic anaemia

Haemolytic anaemia is a condition in which red blood cells are destroyed faster than they can be made in the body. Haemolytic anaemia due to immune activity has been observed in people receiving Xone 2000 MG Injection. Your doctor will suggest tests to closely monitor your haemoglobin levels. Consult your doctor in case you experience symptoms of anaemia like breathlessness on exertion, fast heartbeat, fatigue and dizziness.

Xone 2000 MG Injection may cause side effects such as dizziness. Thus, it may affect your ability to drive vehicles or operate machines.

Seizure disorder(fits) is a condition due to uncontrolled electrical activity between brain cells that causes temporary abnormalities in muscle tone and movements, behaviour, etc. Avoid using Xone 2000 MG Injection or maintain caution if you have any history of seizure episodes, as it can trigger the condition. Your doctor will adjust the doses or suggest a suitable replacement as required.

Impaired kidney function

Xone 2000 MG Injection is filtered by the kidney and moved out of the body through urine. If you have any medical conditions that affect the kidneys, Xone 2000 MG Injection has to be taken with caution due to the increased risk of kidney damage.

Impaired liver function
