Description

Vertin OD 24 Tablet is a medicine that contains Betahistine. It is used in the treatment of Meniere's disease (a disorder of the inner ear that can lead to vertigo (spinning) and hearing loss). It is similar to that of a natural substance called histamine. It helps relieve symptoms of Meniere's disease by improving blood flow to the inner ear, reducing the amount of fluid and pressure in the ear. Vertin OD 24 Tablet may cause some side effects including headaches, nausea, indigestion, stomach pain and bloating. Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or worsen. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Avoid foods containing high sodium content, caffeine, dairy products, alcohol which may trigger Meniere's disease. It is recommended that you maintain a low-salt diet which may help prevent vertigo in Meniere's disease. Vertin OD 24 Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Your doctor will decide the dose and the correct duration of treatment based on the severity of your condition. You should take it for as long as prescribed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better after taking a few doses as discontinuation may lead to worsening of your condition.
