Description

Valprol-CR-300 Tablet is an anticonvulsant medication that consists of Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid. It is used for the treatment of epilepsy, a neurological disorder in which the brain activity becomes abnormal, leading to uncontrolled jerking movements and loss of consciousness. This medicine works by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in your brain. Valprol-CR-300 Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, change in appetite, tremor, confusion, etc. Inform your doctor if these side effects bother you for a long time or become worse. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking this medicine, as it may cause drowsiness. Valprol-CR-300 Tablet is advised to be taken with food to avoid stomach discomfort. The dose and duration of treatment will be decided by your doctor based on your condition. Take this medicine for the recommended duration for better results. Do not stop taking Valprol-CR-300 Tablet suddenly, as it may cause increased seizure frequency. Your doctor may gradually taper the dose over a period. Valprol-CR-300 Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about your complete medical history, including any heart, liver, or kidney problems. Also, inform your doctor about all your current medications to avoid undesired effects. Pancreatitis

Inform your doctor if you experience any signs and symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or acute abdominal pain that persist or worsen.

Impaired kidney function

Valprol-CR-300 Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems, as it may lead to the accumulation of this medicine in the body and increase the risk of undesired effects. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine based on your clinical condition.

Lupus erythematosus

Lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune disorder (a condition where the immune system attacks its own tissues) that causes swelling and tissue damage in the affected organs. Valprol-CR-300 Tablet should be used with caution if you have lupus erythematosus, as it may worsen your condition.

Driving and operating machines

Valprol-CR-300 Tablet may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel drowsy or dizzy after taking this medicine.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Valprol-CR-300 Tablet as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
