What is it prescribed for?
Hypertension
This medicine is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), which is an increase in the blood pressure caused by genetic and/or environmental factors.
Edema Associated with Congestive Heart Failure
This medicine is used in the treatment of edema associated with congestive heart failure which is characterized by shortness of breath, fatigue, swollen legs and rapid heartbeat.

Hyperkalemia
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with hyperkalemia (elevated blood levels of potassium in the body) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
