Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI)
Use of this medicine is not recommended if the patient has taken MAO inhibitors like selegiline or rasagiline within the last 14 days. Their combination may increase the risk of adverse effects like drowsiness and blurred vision.
Glaucoma
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with glaucoma since it may increase the intraocular pressure, leading to an increased risk of vision problems like dry eyes and blurred vision. This risk is especially higher in elderly patients and patients wearing contact lenses.
Gastrointestinal blockage
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with gastrointestinal obstruction since this medicine may worsen the condition. The risk is especially higher in elderly patients.
Respiratory depression

How it works
Diphenhydramine blocks the action of certain substances produced by the body which induces allergic reactions. Terpin Hydrate helps to thin and loosen mucus in the lungs so that the mucus can be removed more easily through coughing. Ammonium chloride clear or expel out the mucus from the congested nasal passage by inducing cough. Sodium citrate dissolves thick mucus so that coughing up phlegm is easier.
