Description
Tocoderm + Cream is a combination medicine that consists of Clobetasol, Ofloxacin, Ornidazole and terbinafine. It is used for the treatment of skin infections. It helps to relieve redness, swelling, and itching associated with bacterial and fungal skin infections, surgical wound infections and skin conditions such as psoriasis, dermatoses, ichthyosis, etc. It works by killing or stopping the growth of microorganisms that cause infection. However, this combination is banned for use in India due to its severe side effects.
Tocoderm + Cream may rarely cause side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These symptoms last only for a very few days and disappear with time, inform your doctor if they persist or worsen. Seek medical help if you experience any symptoms of an allergic reaction like rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath. Your doctor may suggest a patch test before starting treatment with this cream to ensure that it is safe for you.
Tocoderm + Cream should be used as directed by your doctor. Apply a thin film of this medicine to the affected area 1-2 times a day. Wash and dry the affected area before application. This cream is meant for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth. Keep the affected area clean and dry because the presence of moisture can increase microbial growth.
Tocoderm + Cream may not be suitable for everyone. Inform your doctor if you have epilepsy (a disorder in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed), multiple sclerosis (a condition where your immune system damages the protective covering of nerves) and kidney problems before using this medicine.
