Description

Softools Suspension is a combination of Liquid Paraffin, Magnesium Hydroxide, and Sodium Picosulfate. It is used in the treatment of constipation in adults. This medicine works by increasing water content in the intestines, improving bowel movements and facilitating the easy passage of stools. Softools Suspension may cause common side effects such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Softools Suspension should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day, preferably at bedtime. This medicine can be taken with or without food. Softools Suspension should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing stomach/intestinal problems before beginning treatment with this medicine. Close evaluation with respect to your current medicines is necessary to avoid any undesired side effects. Softools Suspension is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Constipation

Constipation is a condition with reduced stool frequency (less than three bowel movements a week) and/or difficulty in passing stools. Symptoms may include incomplete bowel movements, hard/dry/lumpy stools that are difficult and painful to pass, a feeling of incomplete evacuation after defecation (passing stools), abdominal pain, bloating (a buildup of gas in your stomach and intestines), excessive flatulence (passing gas), etc. Softools Suspension is used in the treatment of constipation.
