Description

Rozustat 10 D Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Rosuvastatin and Vitamin D3. It is used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia (a condition in which there are high levels of fat particles (lipids) in the blood). This medicine reduces the bad cholesterol level and fat in your blood and thus prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (a condition that occurs due to a decrease in blood supply to your brain). Rozustat 10 D Tablet works by reducing the formation of cholesterol in the body by inhibiting the HMG-CoA-reductase (an enzyme that is required to make cholesterol). Rozustat 10 D Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headache and weakness. Usually, these side effects resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking Rozustat 10 D Tablet as it may cause dizziness. Rozustat 10 D Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take it with or without food or as advised by your doctor. Take this medicine at the same time every day for ease of remembering. Do not stop taking Rozustat 10 D Tablet without consulting your doctor. Rozustat 10 D Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. This medicine may interact with many other medicines. Inform your doctor of your complete medical history including liver, kidney, heart conditions if any and about other medicines that you may be using. Hyperlipidaemia is a condition in which there are high levels of fat particles (lipids) in your blood. Rozustat 10 D Tablet reduces the level of cholesterol, removes the bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in your blood.

Prevention of heart attack and stroke

A heart attack occurs when the flow of blood to your heart is blocked due to the formation of blood clots and the deposition of unwanted fats in your blood vessels. It may also interrupt the blood supply to your brain causing stroke. Hence, Rozustat 10 D Tablet is used for the prevention and treatment of heart attack and stroke (damage to the brain due to insufficient blood supply).

Rozustat 10 D Tablet is a combination of Rosuvastatin and Vitamin D3.
