Roles 20 MG Injection

Manufactured byRanbaxy Laboratories Ltd.

CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE

Description

Roles 20 MG Injection is an anti-ulcer medicine that contains Rabeprazole. It is used to treat gastrointestinal conditions caused due to excessive acid production in your stomach like the stomach and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. Roles 20 MG Injection interferes with the final step of acid release in the stomach. Thus, acidity in the stomach is decreased and the ulcer healing process is fastened. Roles 20 MG Injection may cause side effects like headache, pain, redness and swelling at the site of injection, diarrhoea, and dizziness. These effects are generally mild and subside with time. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms persist for a long time. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Roles 20 MG Injection should be administered into your vein by a health care professional in a hospital. The dose will be determined by your doctor based on your condition. Roles 20 MG Injection is preferred if you have oesophagus damage (the tube that carries food from the throat to the stomach) or if you are unable to take oral forms of pantoprazole. Eating a healthy and balanced diet along with this injection, helps you to get a quick result. Always try to finish your dinner three hours before heading to bed. Roles 20 MG Injection may not be suitable for you if you have osteoporosis (a condition in which bones become weak and brittle), other gastrointestinal conditions like colitis and kidney or liver conditions as it may cause serious side effects. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding before receiving this medicine. You should avoid spicy and fatty foods, alcohol and caffeine-containing beverages such as coffee, tea and cola if you have acid-related conditions.

Uses of Roles 20 MG Injection

What is it prescribed for?

Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is an acid reflux condition that occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into your oesophagus or food pipe. Heartburn and indigestion are the main symptoms of GERD. Roles 20 MG Injection helps in the treatment of GERD by decreasing stomach acid production.

Duodenal ulcer

Duodenal ulcers are open sores that form in the lining of the duodenum (the beginning of the small intestine). The food travels to the duodenum from your stomach. An ulcer occurs when excess acid is produced in the stomach, it damages the protective layer of the duodenum. It can also be caused due to an infection or irritation. Roles 20 MG Injection is used to treat bleeding or severe erosions that occur due to active duodenal ulcers.

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome is a condition in which tumours (abnormal growth of body tissue) form in your pancreas (an organ located behind the stomach) and duodenum (the first part of the small intestine). These tumours produce a hormone called gastrin which in turn causes excessive stomach acid. Roles 20 MG Injection is used to reduce acid levels produced in your stomach due to tumours.

Gastric ulcer

Gastric ulcers are sores that form in the lining of the stomach. The stomach produces acid which helps in the digestion of food and also kills germs. To get protected from acid damage, the cells of the stomach make a protective mucus layer. This layer is damaged when there is excess stomach acid production causing an ulcer. It can also be caused due to an infection or irritation. Roles 20 MG Injection is used to treat bleeding or severe erosions that occur due to gastric (stomach) ulcers.
