Description

Rofex 500 MG Capsule is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in different parts of your body including the skin, bone, ears, throat, lungs, and urinary tract. The medicine kills or stops the growth of bacteria that is causing the infection. Rofex 500 MG Capsule is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Rofex 500 MG Capsule shows some common side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. These side effects are usually mild. However, inform your doctor if they become severe or last for a long period. Rofex 500 MG Capsule can be taken with or without food. Take it around the same time every day for the ease of remembering. The dose will vary depending on the condition you are being treated for. Do not stop taking this medicine. Make sure you complete the entire course of treatment even if you feel better. If you stop the antibiotic early, some bacteria may survive and become resistant, leading to a recurrence of infection. Rofex 500 MG Capsule should be avoided if you are allergic to it or penicillin antibiotics. If you have kidney, liver, or heart problems, you should consult your doctor before taking Rofex 500 MG Capsule. Inform your doctor about all the other medications you are taking, as there are chances that any of these medicines may interact with Rofex 500 MG Capsule and cause severe side effects. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medication.

Acute bacterial otitis media

Acute Otitis media (AOM), a common complaint among infants and young children, is an infection of the middle ear (the area behind the eardrum). Rofex 500 MG Capsule is used to treat acute otitis media caused by bacteria. This medicine kills or stops the growth of bacteria, thus prevents the infection from spreading.

Pharyngitis/Tonsilitis

Pharyngitis is an infection that causes swelling and soreness of the pharynx (the hollow tube at the back of the nose that goes down to the throat); whereas tonsillitis is an infection that causes redness and swelling in the tonsils (two oval-shaped masses of tissue at the back of your throat). Rofex 500 MG Capsule is used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and/or pharyngotonsillitis (a condition where the pharynx and tonsils, both are infected). It kills or prevents the growth of bacteria that cause infection.

Cystitis

Cystitis is the swelling of the urinary bladder usually caused by a bacterial infection. This condition is more common in women because their urethra (the tube through which urine is discharged) is much shorter, which means bacteria can go into the bladder (the organ in which urine is stored) more easily. Rofex 500 MG Capsule is used to treat cystitis caused by various bacteria like E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, and Klebsiella species.

Osteomyelitis

Osteomyelitis is an infection of the bone. This infection can occur due to a bone injury or through blood by which bacteria, viruses, or fungi invade a bone. Rofex 500 MG Capsule is used for the treatment of osteomyelitis caused by bacteria.

Skin and soft tissue infections

Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade your skin and its supporting structures. Rofex 500 MG Capsule is used to treat all skin infections including abscess (pus-filled swelling) caused by bacteria.

Pneumonia

Pneumonia is an infection of the air sacs in the lungs (either single or both lungs). It can be bacterial and viral. Rofex 500 MG Capsule is used to treat pneumonia caused by bacteria.

Pyelonephritis

Pyelonephritis is the swelling of the kidneys due to bacterial infection. This infection starts in your urethra (organ through which urine is discharged) or bladder (the organ in which urine is stored) and spreads through the ureters (tubes that transport urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder) further reaching the kidneys. Rofex 500 MG Capsule is used to treat pyelonephritis.
