Description

Resteclin 500 MG Capsule is an antibiotic that is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, intestines, skin, lymph nodes, genitals, urinary tract, reproductive organs, etc. It is also used in the treatment of cholera. Along with other medications it helps to treat acne.

What is it prescribed for?

Cholera

This medicine is used in the treatment of cholera which is an infection of the intestine caused by Vibrio cholerae.

Chlamydia Infection

This medicine is used in the treatment of sexually transmitted infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.

Brucellosis

This medicine is used in the treatment of Brucellosis which is a bacterial infection that spreads from animals and is caused by Brucella bacteria.

Rickettsial Infection

This medicine is used in the treatment of Rickettsial infections like Rocky Mountain spotted fever, typhus fever and the typhus group, Q fever, rickettsialpox, and tick fevers caused by Rickettsiae.

Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis

This medicine is used in the treatment of bronchitis which is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma pneumoniae. The symptoms include cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, wheezing, difficulty in breathing, etc.

Gonorrhea

This medicine is used in the treatment of gonococcal infection which is a sexually transmitted bacterial infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Kidney Disease

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with kidney diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of kidney function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Liver Disease

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Report any undesired side effects to the doctor on priority. Close monitoring of liver function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.
