Respicure P Syrup is a combination of Chlorpheniramine, Menthol, Paracetamol, Phenylephrine, and Sodium Citrate. Chlorpheniramine works by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical substance in your body responsible for allergic symptoms. Thus, it provides relief from allergies. Menthol works by causing numbness and a cooling sensation. This provides relief from a sore throat. Paracetamol works by preventing the formation of prostaglandin, the chemical responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine acts on the blood vessels in the nose and helps in relieving congestion. Sodium Citrate acts as a mucolytic. It works by reducing mucus thickness, improving its clearance, and making it easier to cough out.
